AUSTIN (KXAN) — This winter took it’s toll on school districts around Central Texas, forcing some to cancel holidays and even push back the end of the school year.

Memorial Day is a holiday for many districts but five local districts are holding class to make up for missed instruction days due to bad weather

Districts holding classes Monday are:

  • Dripping Springs ISD
  • Georgetown ISD
  • Lockhart ISD
  • Smithville ISD
  • San Marcos CISD

Leander ISD, who first announced classes would be held Monday, has decided not to hold classes and observe the holiday.
