Developers announce plans for a second hotel in Pflugerville

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A second hotel will open at 130 Commerce Center in Pflugerville, city officials and the community development corporation announced on Wednesday.

The $20 million Courtyard Marriott 3-star hotel will feature 120 rooms and a 17,500 square-foot conference center. The hotel will also feature an outdoor pool, on-site restaurant and bar.

Pflugerville Mayor Jeff Coleman said the city agreed to build a conference center to attract business meetings, special events, jobs and hotel/motel tax revenue, more shopping opportunities, and restaurants. The city approved the 380 Economic Development Agreement with Village Pflugerville Holdings, LLC at the city council meeting on Tuesday. $20 million of the investment will go towards building the hotel and $5 million of the investment will go towards the attached conference center set to accommodate approximately 750 people.

The first hotel, a Best Wester Plus, approved earlier this year.
