Tree removed from MetroRail tracks, delays persist


AUSTIN (KXAN) — Service has been restored on a MetroRail track, after a fallen tree that was causing serious delays Tuesday morning was removed.

Following Monday night’s storms, a tree fell across the tracks at Ohlen Road. CapMetro offered stranded commuters bus services from the Kramer Station to downtown, but people still reported experiencing delays from an hour to 30 minutes.

The tree was removed and service has since resumed on the MetroRail tracks, but commuters are still experiencing delays from 30 to 40 minutes. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
