App auctions off San Francisco parking spots

SAN FRANCISCO (CNN) — San Francisco is notorious for its limited parking spaces.

Well, now there’s an app for that.

The “Monkey Parking” app connects a driver already parked in a busy area with someone looking for a spot.

Once the person shows up, they pay up to $20 to swap and take the coveted spot. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
