Parachute carrying plane saves four people in crash

BLUE MOUNTAINS, Australia (NBC/DOUG TURNER MEDIA42 HANDOUT VIA RTV) — Four people miraculously survived a plane crash in southeastern Australia.

An amateur cameraman in Australia’s Blue Mountains captured this video Saturday afternoon of a light plane falling to the ground.

According to Australian media, the plane lost power, and the pilot had to deploy the plane’s parachute at about 4,000 feet above the ground.

The plane ended up drifting down to the ground and landed in the frontyard of a home.

All four people on board escaped without serious injury, but one man was taken to the hospital after complaining of back pain.

Authorities will launch an investigation into the incident.
