Man hospitalized after 30-foot fall at downtown building

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man was taken to the hospital after falling about 30 feet at a downtown building.

Emergency medical personnel arrived at the Stephen F. Austin state office building and found the man laying unconscious. Medics said the man fell in the basement of the building.

He was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge.

18th Street was closed at the intersection with Colorado Street after the fall.

No further information on the man’s condition was made available.
