AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin firefighters reported finding dead animals after putting out a house fire on Tulane Drive.
According to the Austin Fire Department, they received several calls about a house fire on the 6800 block of Tulane Drive on Friday morning. When they arrived to the single family home firefighters reported seeing “heavy fire,” but they were able to put it out without any injuries.
After they put out the fire, firefighters searched the home and found it was empty but they found the remains of the dogs. They said it is still to early to determine the cause of the animals’ death.
Four people living in the home were displaced by the fire are being helped by the Red Cross.
