WASHINGTON, D.C. (NBC/WHITE HOUSE) — First lady Michelle Obama expressed her support for the missing Nigerian schoolgirls with a tweet.

Mrs. Obama tweeted out a photo of herself holding a sign that read, “#BringBackOurGirls.”

The tweet also said, “Our prayers are with the missing Nigerian girls and their families. It’s time to #BringBackOurGirls. – mo.”

More than 300 teenage girls have been kidnapped by the Boko Haram terrorist group, who is threatening to sell them into slavery.

President Obama is sending assistance to Nigeria to help rescue the girls.
