Teens struck by car in front of Lanier High

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Two teenagers are in the hospital after being struck by a car in front of Lanier High School on Wednesday evening.

According to Austin police, the crash happened just after 6 p.m. on Payton Gin Road in north Austin.

The two girls were transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge with serious but non-life threatening injuries, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

The driver did stay at the scene.

It is not clear if the teens were in a crosswalk or not.
