Economic boost results in plastic surgery increase

Austin (KXAN)- Some plastic surgeons believe a telltale sign that the economy is turning around is the increase in patients they’ve received.

Typically, as the economy falls we see a rise in minimally invasive cosmetic procedures like botox/fillers so patients still want services they just cant afford more expensive ones.

Currently, the number of cosmetic procedures is starting to increase rather than fall up 1% from last year as a total.

Dr. Mahlon Kerr with Synergy Plastic Surgery explains what it means to Erin Cargile on KXAN News Today.
