Northeast Austin home damaged in house fire

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A northeast Austin home was damaged in a fire on Friday afternoon.

According to the Austin Fire Department, the fire started around 3:45 p.m. in the 6600 block of Willamette Drive.

When firefighters arrived at the home, there was heavy fire coming from the back of the home. The homeowner said everyone was able to get out.

While the home wasn’t destroyed, the home did suffer a partial roof collapse.

The cause of the fire has not been determined at this time.
