Free music and entertainment this weekend

AUSTIN (KXAN) – Austin has a weekend full of music and entertainment ahead.

Here is a list of some free events this weekend thanks to our partnership with Free Fun in Austin.

Shakespeare in the Park: As you Like It

Friday through Sunday you can watch Shakespeare’s classic “As You Like It”. That will be at the Zilker Hillside Theatre starting at 8 p.m.

Violet Crown Festival

If you feel like listening to some music, check out the Violet Crown Festival at Brentwood Neighborhood Park. There will be arts and crafts from local vendors and live music on Saturday starting at 11 a.m.

Pecan Street Festival

An old Austin favorite will be in downtown on Saturday and Sunday.  Pecan Street festival has almost 300 vendors and artists on 6th street starting at 11 a.m. both days.

La Condesa’s Downtown Austin

Celebrate Cinco De Mayo on Sunday with a block party. There will be face-painting and balloon-making starting at 1p.m.

Live Music Under the Lone Star

On Sunday the Bullock Texas State History Museum will hold a free concert.  The Blues Crawlers and Native Sun will perform on the Lone Star Plaza at 6 p.m.
