DRIPPING SPRINGS, Texas (KXAN) — A firefighter got hurt while fighting a house blaze in West Travis County on Wednesday evening.

According to the Lake Travis Fire Rescue, the fire started around 6:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Saddlehorn Drive, which is off Hamilton Pool Road.

When firefighters were fighting the fire, there was a partial collapse in the house, so they pulled everyone out and started fighting it defensively.

While crews were working on the fire, the homeowner showed up and said no one was in the house.

As of 8:45 p.m., fire officials said the fire is contained and they’re currently working on hot spots.

The firefighter who got hurt sustained a second-degree burn on his hands, but he is being treated at a nearby hospital and will be released soon.
