AUSTIN (KXAN) — Summertime brings the kickoff to summer camps for local football players.

Former Longhorns Kasey Studdard and Lyle Sendlein hope to give the NFL experience to some aspiring big guys in late May.

“The kids are going to work,” Studdard said. “The kids are going to have fun but we’re going to put the kids to work. We haven’t seen O and D line have a camp. It’s always skilled positions like quarterbacks, receivers, running backs. Me and Lyle got together and said there needs to be an O Line D line camp and let the big guys have their glory too.”

The camp will be held May 31 at the Boles Family Sports Complex in Round Rock.

Vince Young, Ricky Williams, Fozzy Whittaker and Jeremy Kerley will also be hosting camps in June.
