TUPELO, Miss. (CNN) — Residents of Tupelo, Mississippi, are still reeling from a large wedge tornado that sliced through the city.
The National Weather Service confirms this was an EF-3 tornado on Monday — with winds up to 150 mph.
They also confirmed that it was on the ground for 24 miles.
Dozens of homes and businesses were damaged or destroyed.
This tornado is one of at least seven tornadoes confirmed since Sunday.
