Three charged with kidnapping woman from her home

LULING, Texas (KXAN) — Three people were charged with kidnapping a woman from her home in Luling last week.

The woman called Caldwell County officers to report suspicious activity on April 23, but when deputies got there, no one was at the home. Police returned for a second time after getting a call from someone concerned about the woman’s welfare.

As officers started their investigation at the home, they got a call from a Bee County deputy saying they had custody of the woman who had called them earlier in the day. Bee County is about 90 miles south of Luling.

The woman said she had been held captive by two men and a woman, and one of them had choked her.

Robert Daryl Huff, 52, Tracy Daren Padier, 42, and Solange Alexis Martinez, 28, were later arrested and taken to the Caldwell County Jail. The three are also charged with engaging in criminal activity, and bond was set at $100,000 for each.

Additional charges may be pending, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office said. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
