New employment assistance center opens

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A new employment assistance center is now open at the African American Youth Harvest Foundation.

The new center is a result of a partnership from the city’s Human Resource Department and the Harvest Foundation. City employment services specialists will be at the center every Monday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the location in Northeast Austin at 6633 Highway 290 E. Suite 100.

The services offered at the center include help assistance with job searches, resume development, interview coaching, skills testing and offender workforce development.

The African American Youth Harvest Foundation is a non-profit that provides cultural, family-centered education and health and human services to African American youth and their families in the Austin area.
