Medical chopper crash-lands on roof during takeoff

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (NBC) — A New Mexico hospital released video of a medical helicopter crash.

The crash happened a couple weeks ago as the air medical chopper was taking off from the New Mexico Medical Center’s roof. It was in trouble immediately.

It spun briefly before crash-landing and catching fire next to the pad.

The pilot received minor injuries, and the two crew members were not hurt. No patients were aboard.

Meanwhile, the National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
