AUSTIN (KXAN) – These interviews — via what looks like Skype — happen with applicants who replied to a job posting placed online and in newspapers for what this company titled: Director of Operations.

While that’s the official title for the position, the interviewer tells various applicants that the responsibilities are actually a lot more extensive.

In the video called “#WorldsToughestJob,” you hear the interviewer say that the demands dictate a never-ending schedule with no breaks and unlimited hours. Duties also call for this person to be able to work on his/her feet most, or all, of the time.

Some of the interviewees are incredulous, one even asking if this was legal.

The interviewer continues to say that they are looking for a person with excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills and who also has a degree in medicine, finance and the culinary arts.

As for the salary: The position pays nothing. Of course, these applicants are stunned with silence, freak out, scoff and even laugh.

And then, the man ultimately asks them, “What if I told you there’s someone that actually currently holds this position right now – billions of people, actually.”

Interviewee: “Who?”

Interviewer: “Moms.”

The applicants’ reactions are priceless — some emotional, tearful and thankful. They also have messages to each of their mothers, who meet every requirement for the “World’s Toughest Job.”

Just in time for Mother’s Day.
