AUSTIN (KXAN) — A talented sand artist uses nothing but sand and her fingers to tell a very powerful story, masterfully cascading through each transitioning scene swiftly.

This video is from a true performing artist on “Ukraine’s Got Talent;” her name is Kseniya Simonova.

She makes what’s called sand animation and — with the help of a light box, dramatic music and imagination — helps paint the full picture of wartime for the crowd.

It’s an interpretation of the invasion and occupation of her country from 1941 to 1945, bringing some in the audience to tears.
