FORT HOOD, Texas (KXAN) — A week after the deadly shooting at Fort Hood left three soldiers dead and another 16 hurt, President Obama, the First Lady and victims’ families will honor those killed and wounded at a memorial ceremony at Sadowski Field.

  • Starts off star spangled banner
  • Followed by the invocation by Chaplin COL Matthew Goff
  • Followed by Lt. Gen Mark Milley
  • Followed by chief of staff of the Army General Ray Odierno
  • Followed by sec of army honorable John m Mchugh
  • President Obama
  • Followed by Staff Sgt. Cheryl Reese sing amazing grace
  • Followed by Chaplin Col Matthew Goff reads scripture reading
  • Benediction
  • Followed by roll call.
  • Then followed by rendering of honors to the fallen with three riffle volleys and taps
  • Concludes the ceremony.
  • Viewing of the battle field cross.

While there are 2,025 seats, each is by invitation only.
