AUSTIN (KXAN) — Two men suspected of carrying out over 150 apartment burglaries over the past two years were arrested, according to the Austin Police Department Burglary unit.

The men — Patrick King, 30, and Dennis Webb, 34 — were arrested in February 2014 after robbing an apartment in South Austin. During questioning, the suspects confessed to a number of burglaries and numerous items linked to burglaries in Austin were recovered after authorities obtained a search warrant for the homes of both suspects.

Many other stolen items were sold and could not be recovered.

Webb remains in custody with several burglaries and other unrelated charges. King is currently out on bond.

Police had identified two suspects in January based on witness reports. A surveillance operation began and police say King and Webb were seen leaving an apartment with stolen items.
