AUSTIN (KXAN) — Two people are hospitalized after leading deputies on a two-county chase late Tuesday night.

At about 11:30 p.m., Bastrop County deputies noticed a car speeding at 90 mph on FM 812, near the Travis County line. They tried to pull over the car, but the driver kept going.

Deputies gave chase and say the driver lost control, crashing near the intersection of Evelyn and Schriber roads in southern Travis County.

The man driving the car and a woman in the passenger seat were taken to a local hospital. Deputies did not have information on the extent of their injuries.

They expect to file reckless driving and evading arrest charges against the driver.
