AUSTIN (KXAN) –Imagine seeing this on your dark, morning run on the trail.
Brian Baucher posted the picture on Facebook, asking if anyone else had seen the goosebumps-inducing character at the center of many childhood phobias. The clown was reportedly hanging out on the hike-and-bike trail by Lady Bird Lake early Tuesday morning — yes, before dawn’s light provided some of its sunny rays.
One person on Baucher’s comment feed speculated the clown was Austin’s spinoff of the Staten Island Clown that was revealed this past week as a marketing joke for a production company.
Since it’s April Fools’ Day, we’re resurfacing some old favorites to share the highlights of some hilarious – and classic – pranks floating around the Internet.
April Fools’ Day is synonymous for some as Prank Day, and because KXAN Morning News Anchor Brian Sanders couldn’t resist, the video above captured what ensued.
The funny part is he had just gotten through reading off a list of things to consider before pranking someone in the workplace – one of which happened to be: Avoid singling out an employee. Even funnier, I replied by saying pranksters had to be careful with spastic reactions to pranks – such as a reactive punch.
Here’s one shot summing up the moment.
I’m glad I didn’t spaz out and punch him, but I’m definitely not surprised I got scared. I have the heart of a chicken, much like this next guy – which is why I can sympathize. (Doesn’t mean I don’t laugh my head off completely every time I watch it!)
And then you’ll remember this one. Who can forget, especially since it has scored nearly 39 million views.
From the same creator who thought up this seasonal gem:
In the case you may have missed this one, I’m sharing. It’s one of my personal faves, courtesy of a prankster couple who carries out a prank battle against each other daily. They try to top each other with every new prank, and there’s nothing like an adrenaline boost first thing in the morning. Enjoy!
Warning: There is an expletive in this one.
