Search still on for man accused in downtown sex assault

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin police are looking through surveillance video in an effort to track down a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman.

The woman said a white SUV resembling a Suburban pulled up next to her Sunday about 3:15 a.m. near 11th Street along the northbound Interstate 35 frontage road.

A man asked if she wanted a ride and when she said no, he got out the vehicle and shoved her in the back seat.

Two other men were inside the vehicle when the assault occurred.

The woman was released from the vehicle in the 600 block of the north IH-35 frontage road.

The main suspect is described as:
• White male
• Mid 30’s
• Athletic build
• Brown hair
• Brown eyes
