AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin may be the capital of Texas, but it’s not when it comes to sneezing.
The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America released its annual list of the worst cities for spring allergies. The report combines data on pollen count, allergy medication us and the number of allergists in the area.
Louisville, Kent., Memphis, Tenn., and Baton Rouge, La., topped the list.
Dallas came in at No. 7 overall. Not too far behind are McAllen and San Antonio, at 10 and 15 respectively. Houston is No. 28.
Austin checked in at No. 50, up 14 spots from last year.
