HOUSTON (AP) — Houston police say a woman cleaning a strip club has been found slain following an apparent robbery and investigators are seeking the public’s help in finding the attacker.
Police say the body of 27-year-old Maria Lucrecia was discovered at the business when her husband couldn’t reach the woman. A manager contacted police, who located the victim Saturday afternoon.
The strip club was closed at the time of the slaying.
Police spokesman John Cannon says one or more suspects apparently broke into the business, killed the woman and stole about $1,000 from a cash register. Lucrecia died of blunt force trauma.
Houston police on Monday did not immediately provide additional information.
