KYLE, Texas (KXAN) — One man died and at least two others were hurt after being stabbed at a large party Sunday in Kyle, police said.

Ulises Garcia, 20, was at the party in the 100 block of Sunrise Drive when police got the call about several people being stabbed, said Hays County Sheriff Gary Cutler.

By the time police got there, Garcia and two others had been taken to nearby Seton Medical Center Hays in private cars. Garcia died from his injuries shortly after getting to the hospital, Cutler said.

Final autopsy results from the Travis County Medical Examiner’s office are still pending.

The Sheriff’s Office did not release the condition of the other two survivors or if a suspect was in custody. They added that no further information would be released at this time, as their investigation into the homicide continues.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Hays County Sheriff’s Office at 512-393-7896 and speak with the Criminal Investigations Division.
