Another SXSW crash victim to be released, 3 others remain in hospital

AUSTIN (KXAN) — One of the four people still hospitalized after a deadly crash during South by Southwest was expected to be released from the hospital soon.

St. David’s Medical Center says they expect Mason Endres to be released from the hospital Monday or Tuesday. After being released, Endres will enter a rehabilitation center after suffering a broken femur, a fractured neck and a broken nose.

Two days after the crash, we told you one of her favorite bands, Jared and the Mills, stopped by her hospital room for a private concert.

Three others, 23-year-old Gracie Nguyen, DeAndre Tatum, 18, and Evan West, are still recovering at University Medical Center Brackenridge. Tatum is in critical condition, and Nguyen and West are in fair condition.

West’s wife was one of three killed in the crash. Sandy Le, 26, and 35-year-old Steven Craenmehr, of the Netherlands, were also killed.
