AUSTIN (KXAN)-A woman killed in the deadly crash at South-by-Southwest last week has been laid to rest.

Sandy Le was initially injured in the crash. She died of her injuries this past Sunday.

She was laid to rest in her hometown of Pass Christian, Mississippi.

“At least now there’s closure,” said brother-in-law Stuart Gates. “Last week they were dealing with the hope of maybe her pulling through a difficult situation, but now it’s closure.”

Family members say Sandy was an organ donor and that all of her organ donors found matches.

Her family was no stranger to tragedy they lost their home in Hurricane Katrina and lost their shrimping business in the BP oil spill.

She had an uncle that disappeared at sea last summer. He has still not been found.
