House fire in North Austin backs up IH-35 traffic

AUSTIN (KXAN) —  A house fire near IH-35 in north Austin is causing traffic on the southbound frontage road to come to a crawl.

The Austin Fire Department said the house fire started just after 3 p.m. in the 700 block of Wren Avenue.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, there was heavy fire coming from the home. Firefighters were able to get the fire knocked out within 15 minutes.

No one was injured in the fire.
