Cooper’s Bar-B-Que to open location downtown

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Llano-based Cooper’s Old Time Pit Barb-B-Que announced on its Facebook page on Friday that it will open a location in downtown Austin.

The new location will feature live music and a full bar on 217 Congress Avenue, and is set to open in the fall of 2014.

Cooper’s Bar-B-Que serves a variety of meat plates including beef ribs, brisket, sausage, smoked turkey, chicken, and it’s signature “big chop” – a butcher-block of barbeque.

Their post on Facebook to announce the opening of the new location jokingly adds, “we were barbeque before barbeque was cool.”
