Sketch of man who robbed student at gunpoint being distributed

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A Westlake High School student was waiting for her brother in a campus parking lot when a man with a gun demanded for her phone.

Police released a sketch of the man on Monday.

The girl said she ran to the school after the incident on Feb. 27, and the suspect also fled.

He was described as black and in his early 20s, with an athletic build, short hair, and no facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black crew neck t-shirt and blue jeans.

The school brought in extra security staff the next day, and school officials said the heightened safety measures would continue for several days.
