San Marcos woman able to escape unharmed after being kidnapped

SAN MARCOS, Texas (KXAN) — A woman in San Marcos was kidnapped southwest of the Texas State University campus on Feb. 21, and police are still searching for clues.

The suspected kidnapping happened between 2:30-3 a.m. near Craddock Avenue and Old Ranch Road 12.

Police say a heavy-set Hispanic man forced the woman into a car, which was described as a black Chevrolet Cavalier.

He drove a short distance before the woman was able to escape the car on Sarah Street.
