Police search near high school keeps students from leaving building

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Students at Reagan High School were allowed to move between classes Thursday, but not leave the building while police searched for two auto theft suspects nearby.

The ‘reverse evacuation’ was lifted around 12:15 p.m.

Police were looking for the two suspects near Radcliff Drive and Grand Canyon Drive in Northeast Austin. Authorities said they had one person in custody, and a second person was still being sought.
