Cedar Park police targeting people with outstanding warrants

AUSTIN (KXAN) — People in Cedar Park with outstanding warrants may get an unpleasant surprise on Wednesday.  Cedar Park Police and the Municipal Court is participating in the Statewide Warrant Round Up.

“Today we’re focusing on class-c misdemeanors and encouraging anyone with outstanding warrants throughout the state and here locally to take care of those warrants and get those fines paid up,” said Assistant Police Chief Mike Harmon with Cedar Park.

Police will target people who haven’t paid up they could possible be arrested at home, work or even school.  The Cedar Park Police Department and Municipal Court said people should go to the court or online to take care of payments.

Travis County Sheriff’s Office, Austin Police and other agencies across the state participated in the statewide round up last weekend.
