Interim superintendent named for Manor ISD

MANOR, Texas (KXAN) — An interim superintendent for Manor ISD has been named.

On Monday, the Manor ISD Board of Trustees announced that Dr. Esthela Allison will be filling in for the spot that Kevin Brackmeyer vacated in January.

Dr. Allison has more than 26 years in education and most recently worked at Pearsall ISD, which is southeast of San Antonio.  She has been a superintendent of schools and also taught elementary students for nine years.

Pending the release of her contract from Pearsall ISD, Manor ISD expects to have Dr. Allison arrive just after spring break.

In February, the school board approved the external investigation of the board president, Desiree Cornelius-Fisher, and John Jonse.

Cornelius-Fisher has been on the Manor school board for 15 years and is now accused of using school district money to pay for an organization membership for her husband. A lawsuit filed last week seeks to remove her from her spot as president. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
