Warrant issued for men’s club shooting suspect

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man suspected of shooting and injuring a security guard outside a men’s club now has a warrant out for his arrest.

Jose Eustacio Mora, 29, shot the security guard after he was asked to leave the XTC Cabaret, 3501 Andtree Blvd., police said.

Witnesses say Mora fired several rounds from his truck as he left the club on Feb. 16 around 2:15 a.m.

Mora is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and his bond was set at $40,000. He also has a warrant for a probation violation regarding possession of a controlled substance.

The truck he was driving at the time of the shooting has been impounded, the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said.
