AUSTIN (KXAN) — An epic lip sync battle ensued between “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon and Paul Rudd, going head-to-head in the first battle of its kind to grace the show’s stage.

Rudd “belted it out” to Tina Turner’s “You Better Be Good to Me,” while Fallon brought down the house with Foreigner’s “Jukebox Hero.”

Each strategized to lip sync sections of well-known songs better than the other. And the element of surprise is ever-present because neither knows which songs the other has picked — only the guy performing knew which song was coming next.

Rudd raises the bar in the second round, polishing off his performance with “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen.
