The first-ever Zagat Austin 30 Under 30 list of honorees is out, featuring Austin’s top 30 up-and-coming culinary industry superstars under the age of 30.

“These people have done things like bring sustainable goat meat to the city and open our first Ramen shop — all before 30,” reads the website. “Austin’s food scene is as young as they come, and so are many of the rising stars here.”

The list highlights the city’s most influential movers and shakers in the food industry, including some people who have turned “a food truck into a thriving, multifaceted business.”

The “30 Under 30” series began in Spring 2011 with the inaugural New York City 30 Under 30 list, which has since expanded to cities like Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
