Man dead after not wearing helmet on motorcycle

AUSTIN (KXAN)- Austin Police tell KXAN a man is dead after a motorcycle accident.

It happened just after 6:30p.m. Saturday evening.

An officer on scene said the motorcycle was heading down Lynridge Drive when the driver lost control. The motorcycle then struck a parked Ford Expedition. The man fell off and sustained injuries. He was not wearing a helmet at the time.

The man was rushed to UMC Brackenridge. He died shortly after.
