Kids learn about sports at Thinkery

Kids get some special learning opportunities Saturday

AUSTIN (KXAN)- Hundreds of Boys and Girls Club members got their hands on some pretty cool exhibits Saturday at the Thinkery.

Kids checked out a racing simulator, a remote control race track, and an anchor desk where kids could record their own sportscast.

“What’s really great about it is they’re getting to touch, explore, interact, with all these demostrations and exhibits,” said Boys and Girls Club of Austin CEO Mark Kiester. “They don’t get that, you know, otherwise.”

Along with the fun, kids got to learn about science, technology, engineering, and math; stuff that might come in handy down the road. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
