Austin Police ask downtown employees to discuss safety issues

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin police will meet today with downtown employees to discuss safety issues in the downtown area.

The meeting will be on the 4th floor of APD headquarters from 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

The meeting comes after a wake of safety concerns downtown, including a fight that went viral. Austin police identified five people involved, but have not made any arrests. They said they were also close to identifying a sixth person, and once they do, they will arrest each of them.No arrests have been made yet.
