Austin City Hall parking garage rates going up

If you normally park at the Austin City Hall parking garage, starting next month you’ll have to shell out a few more dollars.

Beginning March 1, 2014, the garage at 301 West Second St. will have new parking garage rates.

The new rates are:

  • First half hour free
  • 31 minutes to 1 hour: $4.00 (up from $3)
  • Each additional 1/2 hour: $2.00 (up from $1.50)
  • Daily Maximum rate after 3 hours: $13.00 (up from $10)
  • Evening  rate after 5 p.m.:  $8.00 (up from $5)
  • Parking validation available Monday-Friday for City Hall visitors. The 2nd Street District development agreement also allows retailers to validate for up to 2 free hours of patron daytime parking.
  • Free on Saturday and Sunday before 5:00 p.m. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
