AUSTIN (KXAN)- Monday may be President’s Day but all Austin ISD students will be back in class.

The district says to be on the lookout because the flashing yellow lights at school zones may not be flashing.

AISD says the lights are pre-programmed to line up with school schedules.

They’re working to fix the problem but that means crews are going to have to try to change 600 lights by morning.

After those snow storms many districts are having to make up the day.

Students in the Round Rock, Eanes, Georgetown, Hutto, Burnet Districts and San Marcos, all have to go to school.

Students in Pflugerville, Hays, and Bastrop will not. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
