ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — A man was charged with assault after pointing a gun at another man over a parking spot dispute at the outlet mall, according to an arrest affidavit.
Police tracked down Stephen Forrester Yoda, 28, in the Disney store with his wife and two children after the incident.
Yoda told officers he was pulling into a parking space when another vehicle tried to “steal” the same spot. He said the driver in the other car almost hit the rear passenger side of his car, where his youngest child was sitting, according to the document.
Yoda said he felt threatened by the other vehicle and pulled out his gun and pointed it at the man while telling him to “back off,” the document said.
He told police, “it was a show of force, stupid, but I did it,” the warrant said.
In a written statement, he admitted to pointing the loaded gun at the driver.
Yoda was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and released on $10,000 bond.
