Samuel L. Jackson confused for Laurence Fishburne in TV interview

LOS ANGELES (CNN/KTLA) — An incredibly awkward moment on TV arises when a Los Angeles entertainment reporter interviewing actor Samuel L. Jackson gets him confused with Laurence Fishburne.

Reporter:  “Working for Marvel… the Super Bowl commercial… Did you get a lot of recognition over the Super Bowl commercial?”

Jackson:  “What Super Bowl commercial?”

Reporter:  “Oh!  You know what?  I didn’t… my mistake…”

Jackson:  “See — you know what?  You’re as crazy as the people on Twitter!  I am not Laurence Fishburne!”

Reporter:  “That’s my fault.  I know that.  That was my fault.  My mistake.”

Jackson:  “We don’t all look alike!  We may be all black and famous… but we don’t look alike!”

Reporter:  “I am guilty.”

Jackson:  “You are busted!”

The reporter went on to apologize:

“I pride myself on the fact that, unlike a lot of people who do this kind of work, more often than not I really do know what I’m talking about. But I didn’t 30 minutes ago, and I’m really embarrassed about it. And I very much apologize to Samuel L. Jackson and anyone else who was offended for what was a very amateur mistake.”
