Bike theft suspects nabbed with bolt cutters in hand

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Two suspects are in custody after Austin Police responded to a call about bike theft on Guadalupe Street.

At 5:08 this morning, APD responded to a call about a bike theft on the drag, one of the busiest parts of Guadalupe Street, between 24th and MLK. Authorities were able to locate the two suspects they believe to be responsible because they were carrying bolt cutters.

Police impounded a car that belonged to one of the suspects and found four bicycles inside. They believe the suspects may also be linked to vehicle burglaries.
