Ever wondered what happens during surgeries or inside an operating room? Seton gave the public a peek at the surgical process at its 23rd Annual “Mock Surgery and More” event Saturday. Children, parents and others watched simulated surgeries, handled surgical instruments and were able to ask questions of physicians, nurses and other clinical professionals

The free event lasted throughout the morning and early afternoon at the Clinical Education Center at Brackenridge. More than 2,000 people attended Mock Surgery and More in 2013.

Elois Currivan, operating room educator with Seton, joined KXAN News Today Saturday.
