COLOGNE, Minn. (CNN/KARE) — While much of the world is gearing up for the Olympics, one family in Minnesota took their excitement to a whole new level.

They built a luge track in their backyard, leading to some icy fun.

“Underneath the big hill there in the corner is a garden, and we had to keep the kids out of the garden,” said Dana Schmieg, who built the track. “So we had to make a little corner so they wouldn’t go in the garden, and it just snowballed from there.”
